Steel shoring posts supporting an elevated concrete slab

Shoring

Overview

Hi-Rise Scaffolding installs temporary shoring to support buildings, elevated slabs, and structures across Winnipeg and Manitoba during repair, alteration, or where a structure is at risk of collapse. Shoring carries load that a structure can no longer safely carry on its own, whether that's an elevated concrete slab mid-repair, a wall opening being cut into, or a structure that's already showing signs of instability. Every install is engineered to the actual load, not sized by guesswork.

Examples include

Where we apply it.

01Elevated concrete slabs and beams
02Crash decks for overhead protection
03Structures at risk of collapse
04Wall and floor openings under alteration
05Engineered to the actual load, not estimated
06Inspected for the length of the support period

Shoring is one of those scopes where getting the engineering wrong doesn't show up as a small problem. It's the difference between a structure staying up safely through repairs and a genuine collapse risk. We size and install shoring to the actual load and condition of the structure, not a standard configuration, and inspect it for as long as it's carrying that load. If a structure or slab is already showing signs of instability, this is exactly the kind of call worth making before it gets worse, not after.
