Tube and clamp scaffold wrapped around an industrial tank

05 / Tube & Clamp Scaffold

Tube & Clamp Scaffold

Overview

Hi-Rise Scaffolding builds tube and clamp scaffold for tanks, vessels, hangers, and industrial structures that don't fit a standard grid. Instead of fixed frames or a modular system, tube and clamp uses individual tubes joined by steel coupling clamps, so the scaffold follows the shape of the structure instead of forcing the structure to fit a standard layout. It's the right call for round tanks, angled surfaces, and access points that a system or frame scaffold can't reach cleanly.

Examples include

Where we apply it.

01Tanks and pressure vessels
02Hanger and industrial structure scaffolds
03Curved, angled, or irregular surfaces
04Built joint by joint to match the structure
05Access points standard scaffold can't reach
06COR certified crews on every build

Tube and clamp costs more time to build than system or frame scaffold, and that's the trade-off, not a downside. A frame or system build is fast because it's modular and repeatable. Tube and clamp is slower because every joint is placed to match the actual shape of what it's wrapping around, a tank, a vessel, a piece of equipment with no flat, regular surface anywhere. If the structure is a standard building face, our system and frame scaffolding is the faster, more cost effective option. If it's not, tube and clamp is usually the only way to do it properly.
